About Me.
My name is Bridget Gardiner, and I am a Professional Hair & Makeup Artist with over 30 yrs experience.
My story began, like many in my industry and that was sitting in front of my bedroom mirror, playing with hair and makeup. When I left school, I trained at college to become both a hairdresser and a beauty therapist and since then I have never stopped learning..... ​​

I feel incredibly lucky, I have had a wonderful career so far, working with some inspiring people and visiting some incredible places. Every day, I continue look forward to doing what I do, meeting new people and having new adventures.

My work has been a lifelong passion, it has seen me work around the world, in a variety of roles. Before I came into working in Film and TV (contemporary and period). I had worked in some of the most luxurious spas in the world, I had taught within private and state-run colleges, and I had managed salons. So, when it came to pivoting my career, and freelancing I had a vast wealth of knowledge to help me.
So, whether it is using my skills of aromatherapy to help an actor prepare for their next scene, or being able to do a quick manicure, when a nail has been chipped, I have a bounty of knowledge to help me in my work.

Since first starting my work commercially my clients have included BBC, ITV, Channel 5, CBBC, Disney and other streaming services. I also have experience in working on Fashion, Music Videos, Commercial, Photo Shoots.

My mission throughout my career in the hair and beauty industry, has been to continually learn and develop my skills. It also means sharing skills with others, so...
​
​As a freelance Makeup Artist, my working week varies. Between applying blood and mud to an actor, for a gritty drama, to creating a period hair & makeup look in the crowd room, red carpet and editorial makeup. I also offer 1:1 or small group makeup lessons which are very popular. As well as teaching professional accredited beauty treatments.

But, if that wasn't enough, I also set aside time for few appointments each year, to do my bridal work.
Because I absolutely love a Wedding, whether it is a classic white wedding, a vintage or themed wedding or a beautifully colourful Indian wedding. To me it is an incredible privilege to be a part of, such a special day.

Although I am based in Southwest England, I can travel,
both throughout the UK and abroad
